Goodtime 17-fret Tenor Banjo

Made in America. This banjo can be tuned in 5ths just like a cello or viola (C,G.D.A,A). It is an excellent instrument that can be used as a crossover instrument by string players. One customer described it as a “really great instrument with a great quality build and a wonderful loud and rich sound.” The instrument is easy to use with its small fretboard, thin neck, and light weight. The Irish G,D.A.E tuning was chosen because I can use the chords, tunes, and patterns I have already learned on the mandolin. I am able to play the instrument with just a little bit more stretch and more movement for my old fingers. These banjos are beautiful and I am very impressed.

The Goodtime openback banjo is made in America at Deering Banjo Factory in California. It weighs approximately 4 pounds and can be used for camping, hiking, or just about any other purpose.
